The Riding Fool Hostel is situated in historic downtown Cumberland. Founded on coal and Incorporated in 1897, the village still looks and feels like a turn of the century mining town.

The hostel itself is situated in a designated heritage building in the downtown area. Originally constructed in 1895, it is one of only four commercial structures from the 1890's to survive four major fires and an explosion. Recent renovations have maintained and enhance the character of the building.

The Male Dorm is very spacious with bunk beds to sleep six, hardwood floors, large window, storage lockers, ceiling fan, individual reading lights. Linens provided.

The Co-ed Dorm is very spacious with bunk beds to sleep 12 people, ceiling fans, individual reading lights, 3 large windows, storage lockers. Linens provided. This is an excellent room for large groups.
